Located on the edge of the Lake District National Park in the small village of Tirril, close to Penrith and a stones throw from Ullswater, the Karoshi Inn is a quintessential traditional country pub. Dating back to the early 18th century, the pub is brimming with period features, including roaring log fires, thick and crooked stone walls, exposed beams, and the original flagstone floors. The bar features open fires, free wifi and a relaxing ambiance which welcomes both dogs and children. On better days, enjoy our pleasant outside tables both in our front garden and our covered outdoor terrace with heaters for those late nights. Call us or pop in and say hello!
We have 7 bedrooms that are all en-suite. Overnight guests can start the day with a full English breakfast and all the trimmings – or partake in a lighter continental-style alternative. We also welcome your furry friends into our rooms, so no need to leave them at home. If you are the more adventurous type coming to explore the lakes in your own motorhomes, we also offer over night parking in our carpark and the option of a hearty breakfast to set you up for the day.
